In-car driver-assist AI

  • Edge AI
  • Automotive

A self-contained driver-assist AI that needs neither CarPlay nor Android Auto: real-time road and hazard awareness, contextual alerts, and driver-state monitoring for the existing vehicle fleet, not just new dashboards.

The constraint

Modern driver assistance (hazard alerts, distraction detection, contextual guidance) ships only in newer vehicles, and often only behind CarPlay or Android Auto. But most cars on the road are older than that, and a huge share of drivers never connect a phone-projection system at all.

The safety and convenience benefits are locked to the newest hardware, leaving the largest, oldest, and often highest-risk part of the fleet with nothing.

What we built

A car-based driver-assist AI that runs independently of CarPlay and Android Auto: it needs neither, and works in vehicles that support neither.

It delivers real-time assistance (road and hazard awareness, contextual alerts, driver-state monitoring) as a self-contained system, bringing modern assistance to the installed base of ordinary cars instead of only to new dashboards.

Why it matters

This is the same physical-AI thesis as the site-monitoring robots, aimed at millions of existing vehicles rather than construction sites: embedded intelligence taken into a mass market, not only bespoke industrial deployments.

Building something in this shape?

Tell us about it. If it's complex, we're interested.
